Song #5-"Hopelessly Devoted to You," Grease

This one is pretty self-explanatory. Still, we warn you about "getting it in" (as some have deemed it) whilst having your itunes on shuffle. Nine out of ten times, this song will pop up. And unless your significant other is your fiancee or long-time partner, Olivia Newton-John's utter desperation will not (we repeat WILL NOT) further your case. You'll pretty much end up listening to this song (singing along under your breath) while watching your significant other flee in fear. No potential hook-up wants to hear that you will "Hold on to the end, that's what I intend to do/I'm hopelessly devoted to you."

Song #4- "I'll Make a Man out of You," Mulan

While listening to a Disney song during any kind of hooking up is most likely bad, this is probably by far the most confusing. "I'll Make a Man out of You" not only has a plethora of sexual innuendos
("must be swift as the coursing river" and "with all the force of a great typhoon),
but it also would make for a strange, maybe even pathetic inner-monologue for 
one of the participants.

Here's to hoping you're not made a man,

unless you're into that sort of thing!

Gotta Get Down on Friday Song #1

For a change of pace, we'll be posting a song that is PERFECT to hook up to--or, at least, the song title is-- every Friday. Yes, we're aware today is Saturday...just subtract 11 from the time and pretend it's not.

This week's perfect song is Easy to be Hard, from the Hair soundtrack. The message behind it is far more than physical connection. In fact, it's entirely about the emotional. Besides Caissie Levy's impeccable voice and the perfection that is the lyrics of Rado & Ragini and the music of Galt MacDermott, the title implies the simplicity of getting up in that. 

It's the perfect confidence booster: if you can think it, you can do it!

Song#3- "Potential Break Up Song", Aly & Aj

There's nothing like a bunch of self-empowered feminists crooning about some dude forgetting their birthday to ruin a mood. Combine that with the dangerously catchy chorus, which has an unofficial 85% sing-along rate, and pretty soon your significant other will be getting the wrong idea.

Song #2- "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction," The Rolling Stones

"Getting it in," as some call it, may prove difficult, while listening to this ditty. Mick Jagger's despair regarding his inability to do so could through one of their own game. It may also promote a frustration complex, if you will. 

Song#1- "Part of your world", the Little Mermaid

If you want to get it on whilst listening to this tune and the other person is way more into you than you are into them, you've been so warned. Talk about clingy. It's one thing if they just start following you around. It's another if they then pose on rocks with a fake mermaid tail and a red wig.
